Angel's Rest is a great place to stay in Moree. It is a standard motel and looking in need of an upgrade in some facilities but the customer service is remarkable. We left SE Qld very late afternoon having been delayed in house cleaning and packing our trailer for house move to Melbourne. We researched using GPS estimating we would arrive in Moree about 9.30 pm and rang ahead to make sure it was okay to arrive late and could get parking to accommodate our 10m ute and trailer rig. The office normally closes at 8.30pm and the owner offered to stay up to help us to unhitch the trailer and park. In fact the GPS didn't correctly adjust for daylight saving. When we realised we wouldn't arrive until after 11pm (after problems with the trailer) we rang and got entry instructions. The owner was so so helpful in every way. It made an otherwise fraught moving experience so much easier to handle. The bed was very comfortable And the cost (given my Booking.com discount) was amazing!!! Fab quality courtesy biscuits - macadam shortbread and chocolate chips.

The overnight rate was excellent for the facilities and service provided. Great location, just out of the town center. Very quiet. Not a new facility, however it was very clean and comfortable. Australian and Indian meals, to rooms, are available also. Additionally, I felt safe and happy with the security arrangements overnight. The entrance gate is closed and locked from 9pm to 6am every day, but a code to the gate is supplied for those who wish to leave in the early morning.

My partner and I stayed in the studio room, and our cats were well accommodated too. The entire process, from booking to check-in and check-out, was seamless and user-friendly. After an eight-hour drive with two cats, finding a comfortable place to rest for the night couldn’t have been better. They also have a restaurant that serves Indian food satisfying enough to fill our bellies and ensure a peaceful sleep.

The location of this hotel is close to the Artesian Aquatic Centre and although we didn't visit it due to time restraints it is a very short walk to that facility. One of the few budget motel rooms with an oven and cooktop, allowing a quick cook of dinner or breakfast if you wish. Gates are locked after hours which seems to be a standard thing in Moree, which is a shame yet provides appropriate security.
